| I made
the recordings 1986 via playback
procedure. Dark Sun and Magic Castle on an old 4 track cassette deck
of the company Fostex, Angel on a Harddisk recorder of Korg. Main deficiency is my "drums application", partially a drum computer with steady patterns, partially as last track (!) taken up with a keyboard. I know the fact that the percussion should be taken up first, but I have started just with pleasure with vocal and guitar. The text of Angel is very short. I visited an old-linguistic Gym with a lot of Latin and Greek and English was represented only a little bit. My singingi ... to get a good voice full of pressure you must practice exercises in reasonable volume and this is impossible in my flat, i have there enough stress because of my students. In the end in spite of all a little own praise, in Dark Sun I like both solos, in Magic Castle the sombre whole mood of the song and with Angel the increase of the restrained start at the rather violent end. Also the guitars in the background are ok. I have cheated at Magic Castl a little bit, if the background has lowered with the admissions voices the tape speed and with it the pitch and with the mixdown again on normally speed. |
